Plant compounds grown in traditional agricultural systems are harvested, processed, extracted, and transported applying non-sustainable capital-intensive methods, with increasingly negative environmental impacts.
It has only been in the last couple of decades that precision fermentation – the engineering of micro-organisms like yeast and bacteria to produce complex organic compounds – has been possible.
By increasing the abundance and availability of plant and microbial based compounds we ethically transform and add value to existing and emerging supply chains for human, animal, and industrial applications.
We also bioengineer novel compounds from Western Australia native species to celebrate and develop the rich WA Biodiversity in a sustainable and ethical manner.
We work with our customers and partners to discover, engineer and synthesise other plant compounds to disrupt supply chains.
